The Garden Club in Fearrington Village featured Murry Handler as guest speaker in Feb.

Murry Handler gave an informal talk to an interested group of gardening devotees, about his personal Bonsai collection and demonstrate techniques for this esthetic form of garden display. Murry showed a sampling of several trees from his collection, as well as a few of the pots which are custom made for his prized pieces.   He demonstrated techniques and answered questions about raising and caring for these miniature trees and the centuries-old traditions of Japanese master Bonsai artisans. The group also enjoyed the opportunity to browse through a small collection of Murry’s ‘Attitudes’ prints series, in which Handler uses Chinese ink painting technique to convey   his minimalist images.
