Color in the Abstract
These two series sing with bright colors, and are a departure from the usually restrained palette more typical of Murry Handler. With his palette unleashed, the artist revels in the delights of color combinations, varying the canvases with striking, soothing, off-beat and unexpected pairings of colors and hues.
Undial #1 and #4 were juried into the Stamford, Ct. Color Award Show, by the Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Museum of Modern Art, NYC.
