Art in the Park
Art in the Park, a festive all-day event includes over 30 artists showcasing their talents in painting, photography, wood work, basketry, jewelry, glass blowing and more. This year there will be a children’s table for hands-on self expression and music to enjoy as you stroll through the lovely park. The fun starts at 10 A.M. and continues until 4 P.M. Sunday, Oct.11 at the park in the center of Fearrington Village, Pittsboro, NC.
Handler’s Social Commentary painting accepted for Fletcher Exhibit at The Reece Museum, Johnson City, Tenn.
The 3rd Annual International Social & Politically Engaged Art Exhibit will show a Murry Handler work entitled ‘War: The Human Condition’. This large triptych depicting the chaos and maelstrom of war is Handler’s response to the grim depictions of the war-torn Middle East. The central panel, 4’X6’, of the triptych will be in the juried exhibit of 64 works out of 283, by 56 artists selected from different parts of the world. The show will run from Oct. 5 to Dec. 7 at The Fl3TCH3R Exhibit, Reece Museum, Johnson City, Tn. For more info contact Enid Handler
