AIDS/HIV service organization’s fund-raiser will once again host a rousing auction. Murry’s donation has been juried into the live auction by the Director of the NC Museum of Art. Only 31 artists were selected out of hundreds who submitted.

The large acrylic painting Titled Smokies #2 is recognizable as a Handler work, with characteristic bold brushwork in a monochromatic palette.   In addition to paintings, the gala auction includes jewelry, sculpture and photography. Be there to bid, be seen, be part of the action ……and maybe win a terrific piece of art! Murry’s 2010 contribution was a $3,500 retail price painting snapped up by a wise bidder at a bargain price.
